John Lackard has been a regular on the Vermont music scene for years. In Barre, VT he is known for his open mic jam sessions, where folks show up eager to take the stage and play music for all sorts of reasons most of them personal. At age fifteen John took the stage for his first professional stage appearance. Touring New York and New England for a few years led to a stint with Sam the Sham, sit-ins with James Cotton, Jimmy Rogers and Bob Margolin working with Cotton’s drummer as Ken Johnson and Co., He also opened shows for Jimmy and James. After which Jimmy declared “That boy kicks the hell out of the Blues!” Now John and his band are fixtures at venues all over the Green Mountain State. Featuring John Lackard, Al Montgomery, Skip McNamara, and Doug McKelvy
