The Drop Offs
The Drop Offs are a Woodstock, Vermont based band featuring a cast of well-travelled
musicians who all settled in the Upper Valley and formed a local group to play their own
songs and favorite covers. Gathering to rehearse and play typically after dropping their
kids off at school (hence the name), each member brought songs to the table, ranging
from choice cuts from The Rebirth Brass Band, Wes Montgomery, and The Band, to
original compositions fit for a seven piece group with a full horn section. You can expect
and eclectic and electric set with something for everyone, with joy and passion for music
and community in the air. Their first show in February 2024 at The Little Theater was a
spectacular success, and they now bring the show to Woodstock’s famed and favorite
stage, The Town Hall Theater, with special guests The Freeze Brothers. Come out for a
night of captivating live music, supporting local musicians and Pentangle Arts!
The Drop Offs are:
Ben Kogan: Guitar and Bass (Ben Kogan Band, David Wax Museum)
Mike Calabrese: Drums (Lake Street Dive)
Avi Salloway: Guitar (Bombino, Billy Wylder)
Michael Zsoldos: Tenor Sax (Paquito D’Rivera, Convergence Project)
Elizabeth Frascoia: Trombone (St. Vincent, Michael Bolton)
Alex Beram: Trombone (John Brown’s Body)

The Freeze Brothers
Dan Paczkowski and Sefton Stallard met in the Green Mountains in the winter of 2015
while working in the freezer at a meat plant. Dan had a 2-year stint playing with the
celebrated funk band Harmonious Junk and a 12-year career drumming on cruise ships.
Sefton, after a 17-year career cheffing in NYC, playing with bar bands and opening 2
recording studios, moved his family to Vermont. Dan and Sefton connected on a
musical vision rooted in rock, blues and funk. This collaboration became the Freeze
Brothers and resulted in the release of their first LP, ‘Sublimation’. In 2023 RJ Weyant, a
nunchucking bass groover from Long Island joined the band. With his heavy metal roots
RJ provides the backbone of the music that, with Dan and Sefton, provides a unique
brand of live, driving, melodic Blues Rock. The Freeze Brothers reside and record in
Woodstock, Vermont
