Duo partners Leslie Stroud, flute, and Matthew Odell, piano, bring an afternoon of chamber music from Paris salon to Woodstock, Vermont. New England residents Stroud and Odell perform colorful, vibrant and often provocative music reflecting the rich intersection of art, culture and composition in France. From Albert Roussel’s musical pictures of mythical flute players, to Oliver Messiaen’s fantastical impression Le Merle Noir, to César Franck’s stunning evocation of the human spirit, Stroud and Odell make an impressionistic journey across the ocean.
