A post-film discussion will be led by former UN consultants Betsy Eldredge and Denis Rydjeski.

These impressive short documentaries were recently filmed by the Wilson Center’s Environmental Change and Security Program (ECSP). The Wilson Center was chartered by Congress as the living memorial to President Woodrow Wilson; it is the nation’s key non-partisan policy forum. The Program is supported by grants from the U.S. Agency for International Development and the United Nations Population Fund.

ECSP has actively pursued the connections between the environment, health, population, development, conflict, and security. This Program engages an innovative approach to address these concerns, “Integrated Population, Health and Environment. (PHE)”

Three 10 minute documentaries will focus on this approach in Ethiopia, Nepal and Tanzania. They highlight the need for realizing the interconnectedness of the issues we face – even here in the US – and the need for an integrated strategy to address them.

Sponsored by the Sierra Club, Sustainable Woodstock and Pentangle Arts.
