HAIR: The Original Tribal Rock Musical
Directed by Joey Murray
Music Direction by Rob Baumgartner
Choreography by Tesha Busse
Pentangle Arts seeks performers of all ethnicities for our April 2018 production of HAIR: The Original Tribal Rock Musical at the Woodstock Town Hall Theatre. HAIR is about a group of Vietnam-era youths in New York City’s East Village who band together as a TRIBE. Among them are Claude and Berger; a pair of friends battling against Claude’s Vietnam draft notice, and Sheila, who is in love with both, but her politically-active lifestyle leaves her little time to act on her feelings. With themes of alienation and civil disobedience, HAIR illustrates the ‘60s generation’s search for meaning.
