Through film and lecture this one man show by Rob Mermin, founder of Circus Smirkus, illustrates the acting style of the silent film era, referred to by Rob's mentor, Marcel Marceau as the "silent language of the soul"—seen through the lens of silent cinema. The program is illustrated with a dazzling array of clips from 100 silent drama, adventure, romance, and comedy films!

A partnership of Pentangle Arts Council and the Norman Williams Public Library.
