Brown Bag Concert: Sayon Camara with Landaya Ensemble
Sayon Camara is an extremely talented “djembefola” (master djembe drummer) from the African nation of Guinea.  With an intimate knowledge of the music of the Malinke culture and an impeccable sense of timing and skill, Sayon will take you places in drumming and traditional Guinean music that you didn’t know were possible and will do so with contagious joy.  Sayon, who now resides in Woodstock, has performed and taught around the world, including extensive time in Japan, in Guinea, and with the Chicago Djembe Project.
